2010 Guest Speaker – Murray Soroka

As a successful businessman, Murray’s heart was for ministry and his dream was to have a place where the homeless, disenfranchised and addicted could come and find the love of Jesus and practical help through meaningful relationships.

In 2006, Murray stepped out in faith and opened the Jasper Place Health and Wellness Centre on Stony Plain Road in Edmonton.  Come hear the amazing story how God turned this simple dream into an influential force for good that is now impacting both the city and the province.

The Cente provides showers, laundry, internet, legal advice, food, storage and medical services, all for free.  To date, the Centre has been responsible for providing housing to over 400 persons who were previously homeless, 90% of whom have not returned to live on the streets.
